OPINION: The Tragedy of America’s Public Pension Tsunami

Over the last 60 years union membership for private sector employees dropped from 33% to 12%. However, 74% of public sector employees belong to unions today. Critics like William Haupt III were quoted in Western Journal as saying that as government expands to meet the wishes of voters, the union machine is at the center ready to reap the benefits for all its new workers.
