OPINION: Public Employees — Ever More Untouchable

California public employees are a privileged caste of Californians, says Steven Greenhut from Spectator. Public employees can retire at the age of 50 with full benefits. Liabilities for pensions and medical benefits are over $1 trillion. And now Democrats are trying to make public teachers exempt from income tax after serving for 5 years. However, critics say there are much better ways to solve the teacher shortage in California.
