OPINION: Energy costs making California unaffordable for too many

Water, energy, housing, and food prices are on the rise in California despite an abundance of resources. Kevin McCarthy and Vince Fong point out that California has the highest poverty rate in America, highest average gas prices in America, and paid almost $5 billion more than average energy rate in other states. California can start to decrease consumer costs in these areas, and government interference is not the first step.
