OPINION: California Starts New Year Attacking Small Business

California lawmakers have passed 900 new laws that recently went into effect with the beginning of 2017, including increases in worker’s compensation insurance costs, writes Bruce Bialoski in Townhall.com. Even before the imposition of these new costs, California business owners already paid the most in the nation for workers’ compensation, so the recent increase is likely to accelerate the ongoing exodus of jobs from the state.
