OPINION: Cal High Speed Rail Confiscating Farms for Development Profits

California top high speed rail official recently admitted his agency plans to make billions of dollars selling confiscated property along the rail route for development and advertising rights, reports Breitbart.com.  State law prohibits the use of eminent domain for transfer of property to private developers and requires fair payment.  However, many farmers say the high speed rail agency is only paying pennies on the dollar for their property.
