OPINION: 7 Key Measures of California’s Transportation Challenges

As the Legislature prepares for a special session to consider gas tax increases, Senator John Moorlach shares some important metrics that are relevant to the discussion in Fox and Hounds Daily.  While some politicians claim the state’s gas tax does not provide enough money for roads, Moorlach shows California actually has some of the nation’s highest gas taxes and yet of $10 billion ostensibly dedicated to “transportation,” spends only $2 billion of these funds on road construction and maintenance.
