NEWS: Public overtime pay surges

Local government employee pay continues to rise, with some putting in so much overtime that their pay reaches surprisingly high levels, reveals a new Transparent California analysis.  The Orange County Register reports the highest paid employees can earn salaries well into the six figures, with a few even earning over $1 million.  Overall, cities paid $17.2 billion in wages last year.
