SEIU has submitted their contract proposal, for the next fiscal year, to the state government. All SEIU workers receive a 4% pay raise, but it’s the fine print that starts handing out more raises. Financial planners for CalPERS would receive an extra 15% salary hike on top of the original 4% raise. Other state employees would see similar increases in salary if SEIU’s contract is accepted.
