EDITORIAL: California, once again, ranks 50th

Chief Executive Magazine, which conducts an annual survey of CEO’s ranking state business friendliness, ranked California worst in the nation for its 11th straight year, reported the Orange County Register.  High taxes and a heavy regulatory burden were the main reasons for California’s poor ranking.  Texas and Florida, both of which offer a much lighter tax burden, ranked first and second respectively.
