Regulators at the California Air Resources Board have approved a new fuel policy that may raise gas prices up to 80 cents a gallon, reports Breitbart.com. The policy is intended to reduce carbon in fuel by 10 percent as part of AB 32, a measure that imposed climate change related emissions restrictions. According to the California Manufacturing and Technology Association, AB 32 will cost $35.2 billion annually when fully implemented in 2020.
