Los Angeles and San Francisco have recently passed laws raising minimum wage to $15 an hour and other cities have similar proposals under consideration, but the media has largely failed to report that workers who belong to a union are exempt from the new requirements, reports News Busters. Due to lack of news coverage, many of the people who approved the minimum wage increases are likely unaware of the union exemption provisions.
