California’s political leadership recently passed a record $200 billion budget, but a closer look reveals this massive budget is actually like the Titanic headed for disaster, writes Senator John Moorlach in the Daily News. Moorlach says the state faces numerous “icebergs” ahead caused by the lack of transparency in the budget process, the failure to address unfunded pension liabilities, and the failure to properly plan for inevitable economic downturns ahead.
