Legislators expressed concern after recent findings by the State Auditor that the court system may have wasted hundreds of millions of dollars, reported Courthouse News Service. The audit revealed examples of waste including $386 million spent on services nearly half the state’s courts don’t use, $186 million on contractors and consultants and $30 million on salaries for employees of the judicial bureaucracy.
