Republicans have announced new proposals to reform education in California, which they say is necessary as a result of a court ruling striking down the state’s tenure system, reports the Sacramento Bee. Their proposals include increased flexibility in deciding which teachers to let go, extending the amount of time it takes for teachers to gain tenure and implementing more rigorous yearly teacher evaluations.
