With pension costs spiraling out of control, over 100 cities and counties around California have placed tax increases on the November ballot to help cover rising costs. Sales, hotel, and other taxes are on the ballot, and projected shortfalls indicate even steeper tax increases may be on the way, reports the Bond Buyer.
