OPINION: Voices of charter schools go unheard by California Democrats

Four proposals by legislative Democrats may greatly increase burdens on charter schools and jeopardize their success, writes Alice Salles in Watchdog.org.  Charter school advocates feel public school teachers encouraged the introduction of these bills to reduce competition and urge legislators to more fully inform themselves on the benefits charter schools offer, particularly to students who may not otherwise have an alternative to a failing public school.
