OPINION: Brown’s Tax and Spending Spree

Nicole Kaeding, a fiscal analyst with the Washington DC-based Cato Institute, writes in the Huffington Post that Governor Brown scored worst in the nation in the group’s annual fiscal policy report card. The poor ranking was a result of large increases in taxes and government spending, failure to adequately address unfunded pension and health care liabilities and California’s overregulated business climate.
