NEWS: Audit blasts financial management at California courts

An audit of California’s court system found over $30 million in questionable spending over a four year period ending in 2013, reports the San Diego Union Tribune.  The audit, which was requested by Assemblyman Reggie Jones-Sawyer, a Los Angeles Democrat, found eight of nine directors at the Administrative Office of the Courts were paid over $179,000, or more than the Governor.  The audit also questioned whether the courts fleet of 66 vehicles was necessary.
